Well i garuntee nothing you buy will eat your other pets, unless you get a full grown afrock, burm, or retic lol.

If you want some of the smaller snakes, look into ball pythons (max of 5-ish feet), Irian Jaya Carpet pythons (max at around 4 feet for males), western hognose snakes (max of 3 feet, generally a little under that though), childrens python (around 3 feet i think)...those are all some very cool snakes, easy to take care of, and dont require enormous cages, ball pythons probably require the largest out of all of them

yeah those are all good. Balls would require about a 40-50gal. Kenyan sand boas and rosy boas are also good choices.

Kenyan males get 2ft. Rosies stay small too. Don't have time right now to check though.

Yeah rosie's are around the 2-3 ft. range. However i know the sand boas stay burried all the time, so you'd never see it, which i think kind of defies the point of having it lol. The hognose only needs a 20 gallon max cage, that would be a good choice for you it seems.

A 5 foot snake seems pretty good size but it's really nothing

Irian Jaya males are 4-5' (some bigger of course), not a max of 4'
Don't just go by length alone, some have very thick bodies and some are thinner....that should be a consideration too, mass and length, not just length. Irian Jayas and Balls do get about the same length but the IJ is much thinner, not as 'massive' as a Ball at all really.

Anthill pythons will only get 2' long but they are rare and expensive - like around $500.

I highly recommend Solomon Island ground boas!! AWESOME snakes
I'm so excited. I just got mine tonight, and she's so lovely. She's very small. Around 2ft. Sooo calm and friendly. Ahh I love her!!

Yeah, I heard the Solomon's can be hard to feed, which is why I ultimately passed on getting one. Has yours eaten yet? I guess they're only supposed to eat like once every 3 weeks or so.

Well I haven't fed her yet, but yeah they have very slow metabolisms. Adults are fed every 3-4weeks. The guy said she has a very good feeding response. Once you get the babies feeding regularly on mice, you should be fine. She only skipped a meal once and that was cause she was in shed.

Well she is 3 yrs now so yeah, she's pretty much done growing. She may grow some more as she ages, but very slowly. They really are quite small.
And even my corn snake who was 5ft seemed smallish. And I'm 5'5" :D
