well, my anoles are all finally happy, i believe that i can actually say this. All three of them are almost always green, they actually let me hold them in my hand (like they will stand on the top of my hand and stuff.) It is so awesome, and they eat all the time and I caught them mating yesterday! Actually, funny story. I have their tank set up right so that it is about 3 feet high, and a metal screen on the front (one of those exo ones with the latch...) and they were sticking to that, bellies towards me...needless to say i always wondered how they mated with no external genitals...well i guess they do have them...
It is not good to handle Anoles unless you are cleaning their tank or it is a life and death situations. By the way, green Anoles doesnt necessarilky mean that they are happy and healthy. It can be brown most of the time and live to be as old as an anole green most of the time.
its not like i handle them often, usually when i clean their tank, or check the roots of the plants in their tank...(i have several real plants in there)...they dont run away, and i can put my hand near them. and yes i have been prepared for eggs from the moment i got them just in case
