Loved it... soil, live plants, leaf litter, water fall... always preferred a natural environment over artificial when you can get away with it.

I use a brick of soil, you can buy it at any pet store, just wet it  and spread it around in your tank. plants seem to grow well in it too. My anoles LOVE it!

    Yes

Last night I changed from wood chips to soil. I immediately noticed the humidity is easlier to control. I got some small plants and added them too. It looks more natural and the anoles seem it really like it.

im also getting soil, right now my wood chips are permanent hides for crickets and i think they are even breeding, when i move the woodchips, tiny tiny white pinheads are jumping all over. so i guess soil and live plants is the way to go. what kind of plants are ok to put in with anoles?

Sounds like a good idea will the soil and live plants help raise the humidity?
How often should u change the soil if at all?

You could just use potting soil because that holds moistore in really well. Also, most of the time where my family lives in FL the Anoles hang near potted plants so i dont see a problem.

just make sure it doesn't have perlite or fertilizer. I use top soil and i plant the plants right into it, i wish i would of used compost insted because it helps decompose the poop, i suggest you use compost and plant real plants right into it you can go about 6 mouths without cleaning it (and the anoles poop is like fertilizaer for the plants) the best plant to use is Devil's Ivy also know as Pothos, theres many others you can use too.
