im not getting an anole, i just got a baby leo. but im curious about these small little guys. they are very inexpensive and the pet store people said they dont need much care at all, but we all know that pet stores rarely know enough about their herps.
so what would be the tank requirements of them? and can you keep multiple males together?

The anoles themselves are inexpensive. Their set up is not. They need a 10 gallon enclosure per anole. They need UV lighting, precise humidity levels and temperature levels. They are good to watch but can't be handled. No, you cannot keep multiple males together.

Ok, this is all in a nutshell, if you want any further detail dont be afraid to ask!

thanks, as i said, im not getting one, just curious. 10 gal per anole? thats alot of space how long do they live for? and im guessing they are pretty active? the ones at the store just sit there all day, but there was one cute little one that was hanging from the roof. do they do things like that alot?

Yes, they are very active. They do jump, and like to bask, but dont stay in the same place for a great amount of time.

Yeah, it is a big amount of space but when you consider how active they are.. its not much really :)

They usually live for around 6-7 years but that can vary widely, especially in the wild, where most don't like past the 3 year mark (dont quote me on that but its something in that region.)

Well, they are not good for handling but they make great pets to watch. Provided with the correct enclosure, i have no reason why they won't live happily in captivity.

They are great pets as long as you have the right expectations. Think 'land fish', they allow you to have a pretty terrarium set-up and can be very entertaining to watch.
