Hi there,im thinking of getting a snake but i would like 1 that doesnt get to big! Im limited to how big a viv i can have because i alredy have fish and a leopard gecko! Has anyone got any suggestions?
for a smaller snake, i would probably say a corn snake. they usually only get to be about 4-5 feet long, and are very handlable. if housing is sufficient, you wont have many problems with it either. other small snakes that should be thought about are, king snakes, sand boas, and rosy boas. research em, and see which one(s) is(are) best for you.
BP's can be finicky eaters... I'd say the best starter snake for someone looking for something besides Colubrids, are children's python, or a rosy/sand boa.
I have a corn snkae and I would suggest them because there good eaters, tame and dont need alot of caring.
i forgot about diamond pythons. i have never actually seen one before, but have done mucho research on a lota snakes, and aparently this snake is popular for beginners. and they are b-e-a-utiful! they average at about 6 feet.....
i want a diamond python aney one no where to get i can get one orderd for a price of $1000 i think thats high is it? eather way i cant aford it
lol, i told ya there pretty....i didnt know they were that highly priced tho....on second thought mundell, i wouldnt go with a $1000 snake to start....lol
Yeah! Diamond Pythons are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! mundell - what kind do you want? A boid? Sand boas...smaller than the rosy boas and way more reclusive. A colubrid? Cornsnake, probably the easiest snake species to take care of. But DEFINITELY do your research!
