One of my friend's friends got 2 turtles in Florida a couple years ago as babies from the wild and is looking to get rid of them. She doesn't know what species they are...and I don't know if I want to take them, but I definately want to know what they actually are either way. This is a picture she sent (not great phone picture) anyone have any ideas? And they are only maybe 4 inches I'd say from what my friend described. The only thing I could really find that looks something like that is a river cooter...but any ideas appreciated!
I looked up native Florida turtles and the best I can guess is an Escambia Map Turtle or a Suwannee River Cooter. A front shot would make it easier to identify.
