He hadn't been eating for a while, so I had the vet make a special concoction that would make his brain say "I'm hungry--GIMME FOOD!!!" *basically the same thing as JumpStart, but made specifically for Dezzy*. I got the medicine last Friday, so I gave him 1 mL then, another today, and will give him another dose on Thursday. Ever since I've been giving him medicine, he's been eating again. He isn't quite built back up to normal, but he's getting there.

It's not that easy giving him medicine, but he's pretty cooperative. I can tell that he doesn't enjoy it, but he does make the best of it. He's recently gotten to the point where he is simply lapping it up from the eyedropper. It smells somewhat like strawberry jelly, so I'm guessing it has a bit of fruit juice or something in it. The label says "letronidazole elixer." ...Any idea what that means? lol.

All in all, he's getting better. His torso is fattening up a bit, and he's more energetic than he had been. His limbs, as I said, are still pretty slim. However, I'm working on it. He's starting to shed the skin on his head, so it's a good thing that he has plenty of food available to him. He currently has three crickets in there. I have about five or six crickets left that aren't in the cage, but they're all rather large and winged, so I'm going to have to get some more soon.

Best of luck with him. I hope he starts eating again on his own soon.

There's not much that worries you more than when a reptile refuses to eat is there?

I'm sure he'll get the hint soon :)

Glad to hear the medicine seems to be helping. Hope Dezzy's eating on his own again really soon. I can't even imagine trying to get anole to eat if it doesn't want to. Good luck!
