I just came back from a lengthy vacation to find a rather large abscess on my Water Dragon, Lizzo's, face. It's so big that it's covering his eye and now he cannot even open it and I am sooo worried that he will die. He just kind of lies there too..not really moving and i've noticed that his breathing is not normal. It's slower than usual. I called around found that the average check-up costs about $45-55 plus the cost of treatment and antibiotics. I don't know what to do because, frankly, I don't have much money to spend right now. I called a pet store, Prehistoric Pets, and a guy that worked there informed me that all I have to do is open it, squeeze the puss out, and put iodine on it. It seems so harsh though and I don't want to put Lizzo in any more pain than he already is. I really need advice on what to do. PLEASE HELP!!
You really need to take her to the vet. Unfortunately, we have to give up things for ourselves to help out our animal friends, I would not do that myself. She may also need to have antibiotics.
