Hi all, We were away for a couple of weeks unexpectedly, so a friend learned very quickly how to care for anoles and check on incubating eggs. About a week ago the first one hatched and a couple of days ago, 2 more. Cleaning Hobo's enclosure tomorrow and will get the rest of the eggs into the incubator. The little guys are soooo cute. Each one is only about 1 1/2" long. Feeding baby food at the moment, but working on getting pinheads ASAP. More info as we have stuff. Going to try posting some pics to the gallery tonight (Hobo and Booly).
WOOHOO!!!! Also try to get hold of some big fat females that look about to burst. Then you can just have 'em lay their eggs, and you've got a few hundred pinheads for the price of just a coupla dozen adults The females are the ones with a big long prong in the middle right at their back end. That's what they use for laying the eggs. You can just make a moist sand/potting soil mixture, or moist sphagnum moss tub. Either of those will work for laying & hatching cricket eggs - I just keep mine under a heat lamp so they stay around 80 degrees or so. Great temp for them to hatch. Congrats again, & Good luck!
