what are they?

    hey all

    ever since i first visited florida in 1997 ive been interested in reptiles due to the lizards there.

    my question is, does any one know what lizard it is i saw, it was in orlando florida and it was brown in colour.

    How big was it? Where exactly did you see it? It's common to see little anoles running around down here. They range in color from greens to browns. They are generally pretty small.

    Most likely a Cuban Brown Anole. They are very common all throughout Florida. They usually dont excede more than 5 or 6 inches maybe for snot tip to tail tip. Generally a darkert brown in color they can get lighter and almost black depending on conditions. Often they will have a dorsal stripe in coloratiopn and various different patterns.
