I have a problem, because Tequila is too big for all the premade lizard furniture I have seen. The premade platforms, aren't high enough. Right now I have a homemade one in her tank, but I really don't like it. I need some ideas. Can anyone help? pics would be great.

I formerly had a log slanted upwards and the highest point was Flint's basking point. This was rested on top of three slabs of slate rock to prevent falling. It worked quite well.
Currently I have a root system bought from a pet store. I have to keep this covered with a towel because the root system gets too hot to touch. I will be modifying this to get the wood back into the cage soon.
The previous owners had Flint right on top of the slate rocks. This was bad because it got very, VERY hot - and so I changed it.

This may sound bad, but I took one of those huge rocks that they use in parking lots for decoration. My beardie fits on it perfectly with some extra room (shes full grown).

Here's a pic of part of it

This is Layne's. I used the standard bricks+slate thing. I situated the light over his ledge though, because he loves his ledge. For Chiquita, I'm using a plain cinderblock with a woodramp. Gordo has a polyresin log that he's had forever that he LOVES, and which I am now sick of! He'd never part with it though. :)
I like your cage, Poohbear. I think if you wound some foliage around the top and bottom of the wood it would spruce it up some. And maybe a background, but very nice. :p

in my girls tank i used a cinderblock, except i had to do some handiwork and break it in half. it works WONDERFULLY. i have positioned my ceramic heat lamp above so they get heat from the top and heat from below to aid in digestion. since it is porous it holds heat and if by any chance the top of the block is to warm for their likings they slide down to the bottom opening and enjoy warm temps there. one downfall, its heavy. i also have a log that rests on/against the cinderblock so if they want they just chill out on the log. heres a pic its not the greatest but if you look hard you can see the cinderblock on the right w/the log resting on it.

AHHH! that light is blinding GotBeardies! lol

why spend money? i didn't spend a penny on mine. bricks, blouder, wood, all came from around the city and into their tanks [after OCD cleaning, of course!]

I use a bunch of different things....in one spot she has your regular old branches....

in another i use cinder blocks to give her both hiding caves and basking spots...the cement also helps keep her nails down

I have also used bricks and slate tile...such as these ones in my Uro tank:

Many people use cinder-blocks as a basking rock/hide. I do not use these because they get very cold, they easily chip, and i just don't like the look. I use a half-log because they do not chip being that they are mad of plastic, but they look nice, and are a good hide.

i love bricks! 'they get very cold' Very the opposite. i can feel the bricks after the lights have been out for hours and they are still warm. i've never had one chip either. i love them cause i can stack them anyway i want to to make platforms, hides, etc.

What type do you use? I'm thinking of the cement block that you can put reinforcement through that breaks when you drop it. The ones I'm thinking of probably break because they are hollow. Oh well, I'll give it a shot next time I change a setup. :D
