I'm a newbie owner, but my daughter and I named our new pet Baby. The prev. owner said it's female, but never been probed. Still waiting for her to eat for the first time with us, but she's getting ready for her 2nd shed. She joins a house of 5 horses, six cats, a dog, a fish and now, TWO rats.. one of which has escaped and hasn't been found yet. Scabbers was the first attempt at feeding (too soon/"hibernation" still?) and Petunia (the escapee) seems to have been STILL too big even tho she was a juvie rat, like the first owner said Baby would eat. *sigh*
