today I was looking at my turtles and I noticed a dent in my turtles shell! there is also brown on his shell, and he is the one that barely basks on the turtle dock. maybee it was the other turtle that did it to him? anyone have any oppinions on these two things

any help would be very helpful.

Do you have a picture of this "dent"? That could be helpful in determining how serious it is. How long have you had the two turtles? Have they always been together? Did you quarrantine them before putting them together?

If you're deeply concerned about this, you should definitely get your RES looked at by a qualified herp vet. You can find one in your area at www.herpvetconnection.com or at www.arav.org.

From what you said so far, I'm not sure if it's shell rot. Your best bet is to get the little guy to the vet to be looked at, then you'll know for sure.
