i witnessed my bp yawn twice this evening..maybe even more while i wasnt looking. ive never seen it before. i heard they yawn to realign their jaws after they eat, but my bp's food has already gone in and out of his system. what else causes them to yawn? later guys.
Could be just a stretch, but check and make sure there is no noise or bubble coming from his mouth when he does this. This would be a sign of a respiratory infection.
the two times i saw him yawn he was in his enclosure. next time i see him do it ill try to get as close to the enclosure before her stops. thanks janice.
You are welcome. A respiratory infection isn't something you want to go on very long. Let us know, okay?
for sure ill let you guys know!..thats the first thing ill do . but is there anything i can do to figure out if its a RI or not?
The bubbles or noise coming out when it does this, is a good indication. You can always get it checked out by a vet.
