    Yemen/Vieled chameleon morphs????

    Hi,
I have been breeding Yemen Chameleons for a few years now and in the recent batch of hatchlings I have found a few with alternate colourings. I wanted to now what you guys think and if anyone one has heard of these happenings before.
    Many thanks
    Luke

    Hi Luke,

Very cool looking veiled you have there.. interesting. I did see pictures of a clutch that was for sale a few months ago that had patches of "translucent" skin. In my opinion, they were grotesque. Very different from color/pattern variations, these veileds had large spots of skin on their bodies that had no pigmentation at all. Odd genetic mutation. They were being offered from Europe for a very high price, and to my knowledge, no one in the US bought any. With that exception, I haven't seen any other morphs along the lines of what I believe you are talking about. I would like to see more pictures of your veileds, though!

Well, I don't know what the name is because I don't think there is one. So far, no-one has ever seen these black patches on any Yemen chams.

Hi mario. I don't know if it is dominant or recessive, that's why I'm going to inbreed the offspring to see what they come out as.

To be honest, I don't really know when I will sell them as I have to wait and see if the babies come out with the pigmentation, and if so then I'll know if it is dominant. I will let you know as soon as possible. Also, where are you based?
