is it cheaper to build a cage then buy one if so which is the easiest way to build it and and how would i open it
take a look at a care sheet for the snake in question, fulfill the environment requirements and design to incoperate them, then price up your design. remember snakes are escape artists so it needs to be really secure, most people use the sliding glass door method as seen on many glass vivariums. if this method is used make sure the sliding doors are secured using a viv lockto stop the snake opening them
Typically it would be cheaper to build a cage above the 3x2x2 size, but that also depends on your skill level and the tools available too you. A $199 4x2x12 boaphile would be a lot less expensive then buying materials and tools to build a new cage.
