Palm Beach Reptile is also VERY COOL. Worth a visit, even if it is on the expensive side.

Don't know if this answer is to late but Hand picked herps is located in Ft Myers. The owner was a former Glades Herp employee. I haven't been there myself yet so that's about all I know.

arrrgh i wish i knew of these places before i got my iglette from the mall pet store. i really wanted to get my baby ig from a reptile specialist so i searched the phone book and yahoo and google for naples reptile and ft. myers reptile and only found one place in naples that was filthy (serpents, etc. is the name of that place.) so i felt i had no other option then to get mine at the mall pet store (oh and petland's iguanas looked ill). grr. oh well...i wish "Hand picked herps"'s website was up! i want to get directions and visit soon!

Did Hand Picked Herps re-open? The phone # I had for them is not in service, and I know they closed several months ago.
I agree about Serpents etc, it smells bad and it always seems to be a bunch of kids running it. Although the animals do look healthy.

Oh, and if Hand Picked Herps re-opened in the same place, it's a couple of miles east of 75 on Palm Beach (82 ?), on the north side of the street in a small plaza. They used to have a truck with a wooden sign that said "reptiles". There is also a hair salon in the plaza.
