Hi folks, I'm new here and ran across this forum while surfing. I live in S.C but spend much of my time in Florida city. My son and I are comming down Thursday night for some Everglades field herping.Hoping to find some Burmese pythons. We usually see quite a few while cruising at night but would love to find one during the day....

Yeh, we have i think one species of adder, and the grass snake. They're pretty rare over here, and a lot of conservation work is put into place to try and save them. I believe the decrease in snakes here was due to the killing of all wild snakes found a few hundred years ago, because everybody thought they were all poisonous.
