they might eat it...but just because they might doesn't mean they eat that kinda stuff. It could probably make them sick. I wouldn't really recomend trying it. From what i hear they will eat any kind of bugs...other lizards...even fish...maybe if you want to give him a treat..get him some cockraches..or...pinky's...or even some feeder fish in his water bowl
Foods and substrates is always a hot topic on any talk forum. Mine love to lap up fruit blend gerber baby foods. Mine also love the high calcium, low fat peach yogurt. I give them this as a treat every other week.
I use a small ceramic bowl for mine. I place it in there cage and they come down and start licking it up. I also use a small plastic glad ware sandwich container and put mealworms in it and they eat out of it as well. Some tokays will take a while to get used to eating out of a bowl and some will never catch on. Mine took about 2-3 weeks to get use to it. Now they realize when the bowl is in there cage there is food in it for them.
mine will take supers, and crix, and locusts out of a bowl but i tend to leave the locusts to run around so the tokay gets some excersise i never heard of feeding babyfood
I've tried feeding my Tokay mealworms in a dish before but she never really grasped the concept. But maybe I'll see how babyfood fruit blend works...
Like I said it might take a little bit before they get use to the idea that it is a tasty treat. Mine took about 3 weeks to catch on. So be patient and keep offering it in a bowl until you notice that some has been eaten. My friends that breed tokays gave me the idea to try and they love it.
