I have an enclosure for russian that I can post pics of if you want. I know they're not the same, but they're close and you might get some ideas.

The enclosure is 4x3x~1. It was made form wood we had laying around the basement/garage and tile we had left over from when we put tile in the kitchen. We build the frame out of 2x4 and the sides and bottom out of plywood. We used liquid nails to stick the tiles to the floor and sides. There is timothy hay piled on one side so she can dig or just hang out on top. The warm side is the far side and I keep it at 90-92 degrees. The cool side is the close side is usually hovers in the low 70's. I let the temperature drop at night.

If there is anything else you want pics of let me know or any questions let me know. It doesn't really look pretty, but it only cost me a few bucks for a tube of liquid nails so I like it.

    EDIT
My russian is buried in the hay.

    Nice use of leftovers.

My suggestion for building size would be 4'x6', this way it could house the tortoise when it gets older too.
