My male green anole has a green patch on his back left leg, and It's worrying me. I only noticed it because he turned brown to bask, and the patch is slightly raised. Should I worry? I have very few herp vets in my area, and I don't think any of them take anoles. Anything I can do to help? Is 'it' contagious?
Hello, again! Is it possible you could post a picture of the patch? It's very difficult to guess what it is by a description alone. If you can get a picture I'd be happy to be of more help, but I'm afraid I can't really narrow it down to anything based on what you described. (There's too many possibilities--abrasion, infection, shedding, etc.) Hope to hear back from you!
