white's tree frog "new" setup

    nice blue phase litoria cearulea. I have two in a viv similar. Mine are only babies and are good feeders. Have you had any problems with them?. Anyway nice setup perfect for whites.

    thanks so much! i get so many compliments on his coloration, and i've never seen one quite like him. he's a beaute! and they do eat like pigs!
    what do you mean by 'problems'? he had an amoebic and coccidia infection for several weeks in late winter/early spring this year. a terrible thing that involves bloody stools. unfortunately it appears that it was all my fault, too. you MUST change the water *every* day!! and when you change the water, the bowl must be rinsed well and re-filled with CONDITIONED water. do NOT use any water conditioner that aids/produces slime coat (like repti-safe) - these conditioners cause problems with amphibian skin. instead use a conditioner that does NOT aid/produce the slime coat. i use 'amquel' or 'amquel plus' water conditioner.
